Welcome to the former holiday paradise of the monks of St. John! As early as the 17th century, Gustav Vasa’s grandson, Carl Carlsson Gyllenhielm, had the castle built, which today lives on through fabulous weddings, creative conferences and romantic hotel packages.

The castle houses a restaurant, breakfast room and banquet halls, while overnight stays take place in modern hotel buildings surrounded by nature. Our flagship is the manor house with six uniquely decorated suites, all of which have been beautifully renovated in the spirit of the times. Spa suites with their own sauna and whirlpool bath tubs, as well as family rooms with two bedrooms and a living room, provide relaxed comfort with nature right outside the door. Many of our standard and smaller double rooms offer magical lake views. Regardless of the room category, all beds are equally comfortable and have equally fluffy duvets.

Our castle package includes a three-course dinner in atmospheric dining rooms, where nobility and royalty look down from original paintings. Choose a starter, main course and dessert from our carefully composed dinner menu.

Sundbyholms Slott has been shown for 18 seasons of the reality TV-show "Farmer Seeking a Wife" and offers beech forest, castle park, sandy beach and marina. Just a fifteen-minutes' walk away you will find Sörmland's largest rock carving, the thousand-year-old Sigurd carving - a place full of history and magic.

You can book both drinks and snacks that will be waiting for you when you check in to the hotel, or why not a drink ticket for a glass of bubbly in the bar?

We also offer children's packages with a three-course children's menu and an extra bed in the parents' room/suite for families who want to celebrate with us. Otherwise, the castle is a relaxing environment for all our guests. Children from 12 years and up eat from the adult menu.
